Administration Manager
 
Reporting to the Chief Manager (Human Resource & Administration)

The overall job purpose of the Administration Manager is to provide effective administrative support to the organization, perform routine administrative
functions such as property management including maintenance and sanitation, records management, transport and logistics, right of way, utilities management, custody and dispatch of consumable items and stationery and will be the head of the Administration Department.

Job Profile
  • Provide professional leadership in the development and implementation of administration plans and budgets, outlining activities to be undertaken and resource requirements.
  • Facilitate management of non-core assets including land (right of way), vehicles and buildings to ensure efficient and effective use of the same.
  • Maintain effective communication between technical and management staff to provide the necessary requirements for user departments.
  • Oversee the preparation of all correspondence affecting the administration department and ensure that the same is done in a powerful and effective manner.
  • Oversee proper maintenance, storage and security of assets and records to ensure integrity of data and information related to administration as well as administrative support services.
  • Develop and implement strategies for creating a high performing organizational culture based on transparency, integrity, accountability, performance measurement and results to ensure that programme activities are undertaken on sound management principles and practices.
  • Plan, monitor and evaluate the performance of staff against set targets and objectives and implementing development action plans aimed at building the capacity of individuals and multi-disciplinary teams.
Person Profile
  • Degree in Business Administration or relevant Social Sciences.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Ten (10) years working experience in a busy environment.
  • Membership to a relevant professional body e.g. KIM, IHRM.
Key Competencies
  • Strong leadership skills, effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills and able to relate to people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Proven track record and able to manage change and interpersonal conflict.
  • Ability to supervise and lead staff, including training and conflict management skills.

Centre Manager

Reporting to the Business Development Manager.

Job Profile
 
Will be responsible for supervision of Centre Staff, assets and records management
 
In charge of all Centre Operations which includes Front Office, Housekeeping, Business Centre, Marketing of the Centre, Conference activities, Workshops and seminars among others.
 
Management of the Recreational facilities such as Swimming pool and the Gymnasium.

Person Profile
  • Bachelors Degree in Hotel/Institutional Management from a recognized university.
  • Other Professional training in Hotel Management.
  • Served for a minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience in a busy large hotel/training institution providing accommodation, conference/workshops and other related services.

Senior Engineer (Instrumentation & Control)

Reporting to the Chief Engineer (Instrumentation & Control)

Job Profile
  • Ensure break down maintenance is carried out without any delays.
  • Plan and ensure all scheduled maintenance of equipment and systems is carried out on time.
  • Recommend spares to be purchased for either stock or immediate use.
  • Maintain maintenance records for the region or area.
  • Assign and supervise maintenance works within the region.
  • Assist in preparation of tender specifications.
  • Ensure sufficiency of tools for daily maintenance works.
  • Responsible for writing regular maintenance reports.
  • Supervise projects implementation and liaise with other maintenance departments in carrying out cross-cutting maintenance works.
Person Profile
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Served for a minimum of 6 years in a busy organization.
  • Registered and licensed with EBK as a professional Engineer.
Key Competencies
  • Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications.
  • Knowledge of PLC, SCADA and Fibre Optic Cable Systems will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in risk management, quality assurance as well as monitoring and evaluation.

Senior Enterprise Application Analyst
 
Reporting to the Chief Information Technology Officer.

Job Profile
  • Analyze and document business processes with a view of continuous improvement. Configure, test and analyze SAP IMG to implement the Company’s processes.
  • Develop and maintain roles related to all SAP modules and advise SAP Basis administrators on assignment of such roles in conformance to accepted security standards.
  • Support the daily operational activities including transaction processing and system security reviews.
  • Develop and advice the department head on new business processes which can be used to improve performance and increase efficiency. Test the processes, make presentations and implement the proposed processes.
  • Advice business unit leaders on how their business processes can be improved using the emerging technology and changed business knowledge and the operating environment.
  • Train members of the department and any other person on the changed financial business processes to ensure improved performance and efficiency.
  • Act as the contact person in the department on matters to do with business processes automation and when required demonstrated to other interested parties both from within and without on levels of automation.
  • Manage or assist in the management of small to medium sized projects, including the planning, development and implementation and reporting of project status.
  • Act as liaison with ICT and other systems analysts to assist in resolving problems and incidents with SAP applications.
  • Assist in the definition, development and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables and specifications in collaboration with internal users and other departments according to system development life cycle standards.
  • Assist the end user in use of SAP applications by developing user manuals and guidelines and initially training end users to operate new or modified programs.
  • Interface with ICT and other SAP analysts to ensure the proper integration of business processes and procedures.
  • Work with other teams across KPC to resolve functional problems.
  • Develop and maintain new reports in SAP.
  • Assist in the coordination of tasks assigned to contractor/consultants.
  • Configuration of SAP IMG on new release strategies for new business unit and for   new employees as per the FICO business blue print and FICO configuration guide and in conformity with International Accounting Standards.
  • Training and supporting new and existing users on FICO.
  • Trouble shooting of authorization objects for the end users as well training FICO support team through knowledge transfer to ensure that all users get personalized attention and ensure business continuity.
Person Profile
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Membership to a relevant professional body e.g. CSK and ISACA.
  • Served for a minimum of six (6) years relevant experience in a busy ICT environment.
  • SAP Certification in a major SAP module (e.g. FI, CO, MM, HR)

Technician II (Motor Vehicle)
 
Reporting to the Senior Engineer Mechanical.
 
Job Profile
 
Arrange and carry out preventive maintenance of company vehicles and plant in the region of operation.
 
Expected to detect and carry out vehicle repairs as necessary.
 
Expected to work with minimum guidance and may assist in general administration of the workshop.
 
Person Profile
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Engineering option) or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
  • Served for a minimum of five (5) years practical experience in automotive repairs and service.
  • Valid driving license classes BCE.
Key Competencies
  • Thorough knowledge of workshop safety regulations.
  • Hands on experience in repair of motor vehicles.
  • Knowledge on supervisory skills.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Good computer applications.

Plant Operator

Reporting to the Technician.

Job Profile

Expected to carry out daily checks on equipment.
 
Operate machinery.
 
Carry out routine maintenance as scheduled or as directed by the supervisor.
 
Assist Technicians in maintenance duties.
 
Undertake good house-keeping plus cleaning equipment and tools.
 
Any other duties assigned by Chief Mechanical Engineer and Senior Engineer Mechanical.

Person Profile
  • ‘O’ level Certificate.
  • Government Trade Test Grade I or Craft III Certificate.
  • Plant Operator Certificate and Driving License Classes BCE.
  • Served for at least three (3) years minimum experience in earth moving plant operation including excavator.
Key Competencies
  • Thorough knowledge of safety regulations.
  • Must be practical, creative with problem solving skills and ability to work under no supervision.
