PELUM-Kenya, a Country
Chapter of a Regional network of NGOs with its Country Office located in Thika,
seeks to fill the position of Finance and Administrative
Manager.
S/he will also be part
of the Country Management Team
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible
for the finance management and accounting, control and material
procurement at the Country Office.
- Responsible
for the general administration and personnel management at the Country
Office.
- Preparations
of the finance reports for various stakeholders: funding partners, members
of the network, the board and the management.
- Tracking,
management and control of budgets for various programmes and projects
- Preparations
for the internal and external audits including evaluations and including
field monitoring.
Requirements:
- A
minimum of a university degree (accounting discipline e.g. Bachelor of
Commerce) from a recognized university and a full holder of CPA-K.
- Minimum
of 4-years similar-work experience with a busy and vibrant networks /
NGOs.
- In-depth
knowledge and extensive working experience in QuickBooks.
- Experience
with other computerised accounting packages e.g. the Sun System, scala
will be an added advantage.
- Analytical,
good communication, report writing and presentation skills.
- Knowledge
of and experience in the management and monitoring funding partner’s
contract agreements, donor reporting system and have the ability to work
and meet internal and external financial reporting deadlines including
preparing for internal and external audits.
- A team
player and builder and able to work for long hours with minimal
supervision
