Our client is leading global information, communications and technology (ICT)
company; and are part of a global industrial federation of companies and one of
the top 10 business houses based in India.
They require a Customer/Field Support Engineer for their Uganda
branch.
Requirements
Profile: Multitalented professionals in Microsoft, Cisco and Unix environment with hands-on experience in Customer/Field support.

B.E/B.Tech or Equivalent
Age: 24-28
Experience:
Experience:

3-5 years working experience, where 2 years minimum in
Field/Customer support
·
Candidates with Customer Products or Financial information products
experience will have preference.
Certification:
·
MCP & CCNA (Minimum)
·
MCSE/MCSA /Solaris/Linux Certification (Recommended)
·
CCNP (will be a Plus)
Technical Skills:
·
MS Windows and Office installation, administration & trouble
shooting.
·
Cisco routers, switches & Firewall installation and
trouble shooting
·
Good understanding of TCP/IP (DHCP, DNS, ADS etc)
·
WAN Communication skills, PC Hardware trouble shooting
experience
·
Sun Solaris/Linux will be an advantage to support Customer
Market Data Systems (RMDS).

Overall Job Purpose
To effectively handle installation, maintenance and support of all client site services and related hardware/software required to deliver all internal and external Customer services efficiently.

To maintain service integrity, quality and availability by
reacting quickly to client’s system problems. To manage changes, incurring
minimal service impact.

To provide installation and support of Network equipments at
customer locations
·
To provide installation, service and repair to customers for
Market Data Systems and Desktop in order to ensure proper delivery of Customer
information.

Responsible for installation and full maintenance of all
Customer Core Products and Services.
·
Ensure fast and reliable service to clients.
·
To ensure the integrity and quality of data and to manage data
and data delivery in the most efficient way.
·
To react quickly and response immediately to client’s fault
calls
·
Carry out periodic preventive maintenance and proactive support
visits for all subscribers once in two months or as requested by Customer
·
Own all the faults and problems, this shall include problem
investigation, fault identification, constant follow-ups until the resolution
is provided, equipment repair and swap-out as necessary.
