Our client a leader in the Insurance Industry in the region has an exciting career opportunity for a Branch Manager.

The successful candidate will be in charge of the Branch office operations, coordination and supervision of the marketing team and agency force, driving marketing and sales and customer service in accordance with the set business plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquisition of new business in accordance with the set targets and criteria.
  • Formulating appropriate marketing strategies, focused on increasing the company’s market share in the region; developing and implementing proposals on new markets and new products within the region.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement of customer satisfaction by implementing appropriate customer service initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing effective business retention strategies.
  • Handling credit control issues in accordance with Company policy.
  • Coordinating recruitment, development and retention programmes for business development staff in the branch.
  • Supervising and motivating a strong sales team comprising of marketing executives.
  • Liaising with the heads at the Branch to ensure high business production among the agents.
  • Maintaining close and mutually sustainable relationships with intermediaries and agents in order to grow market share in the region.
  • Gathering, analyzing and presenting market intelligence, information on competitor activity.
  • Developing proposals on publicity and business promotion.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field or equivalent qualification.
  • Have an ACII qualification or be within reach of attaining full qualification.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ solid experience at branch manager level.
  • Have a passion for sales and marketing and a profound interest in pursuing a successful career in this area.
  • Have a demonstrable track record of superior performance in selling or marketing insurance.
  • Possess a refined business acumen and sharp commercial sense
  • Have excellent team leadership and management skills.
