Job Title: Senior Manager – Security

Job Summary: The Senior Security Manager - Nairobi is a senior position is located in Nairobi charged with the responsibility for ensuring the safety and security of CRS staff and assets in Kenya.
The post provides
technical leadership and oversight on all matters related to security and
safety of CRS personnel and assets.
The post holder is
charged with developing, updating, maintaining, disseminating and ensuring
staff compliance with, the Kenya Field Security Plan as well as security and
safety policies, procedures and advisories for all CRS staff working with Kenya
and, and coordinating the same with Security Officer and staff based in Dadaab
office.
S/he will represent
CRS at all security forums in Nairobi and will develop strong professional relationships
with other INGOs and the UN agencies on security related issues.
The post holder will
also establish and nurture effective working relationships and mutual trust
with the official government agencies of law and order and security enforcement
in Nairobi and other parts of Kenya at all levels.
The post holder will ensure that Nairobi based international and national staff are fully informed of, prepared for and responsive to potential emergency and security threats.
The post holder will
take the lead in developing security procedures, standards and SOPs for Nairobi
office.
An important part of
the Security Managers’s responsibility is the mainstreaming of emergency
preparedness planning, security and staff safety management into all project
activities and strengthening the technical and management capacity of CRS staff
on security matters.
Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities Requirement
- Bachelor’s
degree in related field.
- Minimum
5 years’ experience working in security-sensitive environments.
- Excellent
communication skills- both oral and written, even when under pressure.
- Undergone
formal training in security.
- Demonstrated
ability to work with various teams and transfer skills and knowledge.
- A
professional with high personal integrity and commitment.
- Somali
language skills will be an added advantage.
