Our client, a Non-Governmental organization whose major position is to promote and uphold women and girls in society through advocating for opportunities that explore their potentials is looking for suitable candidate to fill the position of a Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the project coordinator in monitoring, evaluation, reporting, delivery and proposal development of projects.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leading the design and implementation of a monitoring framework to track delivery against projects goals and objectives.
  • Evaluating and analyzing data collected under the monitoring framework for assessment of progress and areas of improvement
  • Reporting monthly and quarterly updated reports on the status of implementation against project goals and objectives to the management.
  • Ensuring that all the sub-projects are aligned and delivered towards expected results
  • Conducting research on women human rights related issues.
  • Performing proposal development in reference to monitoring and evaluation of reports.
  • Identifying research gaps from the ongoing projects and advice on effective strategies
  • Leading on regular review and updating of the company’s work plan based on consultation with field offices and advise teams for key strategies
  • Contributing to the preparation and timely submission to the donors of annual work plans as well as technical reports according to agreed standards
  • Undertaking periodic review of the implementation and operation of the monitoring mechanism including the preparation of best practices and lessons learned
Qualifications and Skills
  • At least a Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences.
  • 1-2 years working experience in similar position;
  • Good management and co-ordination skills, with experience in technical project implementation;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good team spirit;
  • Experience in writing project reports and management plans;
  • Proven experience in coordinating and monitoring national projects.
