Feed The Children - Kenya is seeking to recruit the position of Water & Sanitation Project Officer.
Based in Nairobi with
frequent travel to the field, the incumbent will report to the Development
Projects Coordinator and will provide technical support in the design,
implementation, monitoring, training and evaluation of community water and
sanitation projects to ensure implementation of quality, viable and appropriate
community projects.
Key responsibilities:

- Provide
technical support during implementation, monitoring and evaluation and
ensure program excellence in implementation of water and sanitation
projects.
- Coordinate
training for communities in water and sanitation operation and management.
- Provide
technical review for tender documents on water and sanitation construction
projects and participate in preparing water contracts.
- Coordinate
water and sanitation collaboration & networks with the Ministry of
Water, Public Health & other relevant partners.
- Prepare
monitoring reports of water and sanitation projects
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree
or Advanced Diploma in Water Engineering.
- At
least three (3) years working experience in community based water and
sanitation activities and hygiene interventions.
- Hands
on experience in construction of water dams and pans, boreholes, gravity
water, rain water harvesting systems and construction of latrines.
- Experience
in Rural/community water supply engineering / community water supply
technology desirable.
- Good
assessment, analytical and writing skills.
- Good
working experience in Community participation in Development.
- Experience
in training using participatory adult learning methodologies.
- Good
experience and knowledge of Child Protection issues.
