Farm Manager 


Job Ref. FM 2101

Key Responsibility

The Farm Manager will be responsible for directing and coordinating work activities in the farm such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, grading and record keeping. 

He/She will also be responsible for supervising and providing leadership to employees in the farm.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture from a reputable university with a post graduate diploma in Business Administration or equivalent. 

He/She must have at least 5 years relevant experience, should be self motivated and posses good leadership and communication skills. 

The ideal candidate should also be able to ride a motor bike.

Security Manager

Key Responsibility

The Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing security operations in the Company’s offices in 13 different locations within Kenya. 

He/ She will develop and enforce security policies to ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors. 

The job holder will also be responsible for conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring that the company is compliant with all legal requirements with regards to safety.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelors degree in a related field from a reputable university and relevant security training with at least 7 years experience in a similar position. 

The candidate must possess good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. 

The ideal candidate must also be highly organized and keen on details.
Field Operations Manager

Key Responsibility

The Field Operation Manager will be in charge of approximately 300 field staff and all field activities for the organisation. 

He/She will be responsible for creating and overseeing the implementation of systems and processes in the field with the aim of enhancing operational effectiveness and contracted farmer relationships.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture from a reputable university. 

He/She should have at least 7 years experience in a similar position and have done extension services. 

The candidate must also have strong interpersonal skills necessary in field operations, good communication and problem solving skills.

Garage Manager 

Job Ref. GM 2104

Key Responsibility

The Garage Manager will be responsible for co-odinating activities and maintenance of a fleet of about 150 vehicles, lorries, tractors, and about 50 motor bikes in accordance with Company guidelines and standards.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university with at least 7 years relevant experience. 

He/She must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff, excellent customer service and communication skills.

Personal Assistant to the Managing Director

Key Responsibility

The Personal Assistant to the Managing Director (MD) will effectively undertake all administrative duties in the MD’s office. 

He/She will organize the MD’s diary by making appointment and coordinating meetings; facilitate communication between the MD and managers; and handle telephone calls within/without as well as deal with visitors/ clients coming to the MD’s office.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent from a reputable university with at least 5 years experience in a similar position. 

He/She must possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Senior Accountant

Key Responsibility

The Senior Accountant will effectively and efficiently maintain the company’s accounting records and provide timely financial reports to Management. 

He/She will also supervise accountants and other junior staff in the department.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance from a reputable university with at least 5 years relevant experience. 

The successful candidate must also be a CPA (K) or ACCA Finalist. 

He/ She must be highly organised and attentive to detail.

Systems/ Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibility

The Systems/ Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and supervising the installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial and industrial use.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university with at least 5 years experience dealing with software and manufacturing machinery. 

He/She must have good problem solving skills, strong analytical and communication skills.

Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibility

The Mechanical Engineer will perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. 

He/ She will oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university with at least 5 years experience in a manufacturing firm with hands on experience in fabrication and metal works. 

He/She must have good problem solving skills, strong analytical and time management skills.

Civil Engineer

Key Responsibility

The civil engineer will plan, design and manage construction projects for the company, be it in construction of houses or additions to the already existing buildings.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university with at least 5 years experience in a construction company or firm where they acquired hands on experience in construction. 

He/ She must be a team player with good problem solving skills, strong analytical and time management skills.

Procurement Officer

Key Responsibility

The Procurement Officer will be responsible supporting procurement of good works and services in the organisation. 

He/ She will develop a list of suppliers and source for additional suppliers as well as negotiate prices with suppliers.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelors Degree in Business from a reputable university with a Diploma in Procurement.

He/She should have at least 2 years experience in a similar position.

He/She should also have good communication skills, excellent negotiation skills, be market focused and knowledgeable in business trends.
