Insurance Officer – Insurance Agency

Our Insurance Agency is fast growing and in the heart of a busy environment in Nairobi. 

Reporting to the Manager, the Insurance Officers’ overall responsibility will be to ensure timely settlement of claims and maintain updated insurance registers, marketing, administrative and other functions as detailed below,

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Customer service and client relationship management
  • Facilitating quotes and obtaining competitive terms as well as closing the sales/placement of covers
  • Marketing functions and  after sales service
  • Underwriting and claims functions
  • Facilitate lodging and settlement of claims upon loss
  • Assist the clients in claims documentation and processing upto settlement
  • Service meetings and follow up on action to be done
  • Facilitate client training and awareness workshops
  • Compile monthly reports on insurance matters
  • Reviewing of insurance management policies & procedures
  • Handle administrative and all office functions including customer relations
  • Conduct market surveys on available insurance products.
Job Requirements
  • Insurance Qualification – IIK or CII
  • Minimum One (1) year working experience in insurance
  • Basic Knowledge of insurance products especially personal lines
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic presentation skills
  • Possession of good writing and communication skills
  • Ready to work  on Commissions and self driven.
  • Possession of valid Certificate of Good Conduct obtained from the CID
