No. of Positions: 3 (2 based in Mombasa, 1 in Nairobi)
 
Role Objective/Summary
 
To consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. 

In addition, build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. 
 
The Sales Representatives will be responsible for the following:
  • Attainment of company sales goals and profitability using the sales strategy and budget developed by the M&C Affairs Manager
  • Maintain existing and develop new business through appropriate value propositions and ethical sales methods by acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
  • Submitting of accurate records of pricings, sales and activity reports
  • Communicate to the Head of Department of any orders that have been made by the clients to ensure that the right products are sourced at the right time
  • Manage individual  business portfolios / territory
  • Prospect sale leads, provide expert advice and develop suitable proposals
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in the field of Marketing
  • Additional qualification in Marketing of Hospitality sector would be an added advantage
  • At least 2 years work experience in Marketing in commercial sector
  • Experience in dealing with Government and Corporate Institutions
  • Willingness to travel and work in a local, regional and global market set up
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office 2000, Internet and Email
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare proposals and tactfully and decisively manage clients.

Sales Engineer
 
Department: Irrigation 
 
Supervised by: Irrigation Manager
 
Role Objective/Summary
  • Marketing of irrigation systems (overhead and drip irrigation) green house covers and structures.
  • Innovation and implementation of new ways of irrigation which are cost effective and efficient in use.
  • Direct sales of irrigation equipments
  • Design of drip and overhead irrigation systems
  • Supervision of on-going projects
  • Assist in follow up of debts collection from sales initiated by yourself
  • Co-ordinate with stores department for supply and delivery of goods to our customers on time.
  • Follow up closely on sales prospects by phone, mail and or visits
  • Assist all customers with the view of acquiring and capturing sales
  • Prepare irrigation adverts and participate in all the approved irrigation fairs and shows.
  • Prepare annual budgets which will be an integral part of irrigation and GNS annual budget.
  • Update the irrigation Manager on your daily sales plans, visits, and work schedules.
  • Prepare your weekly sales returns and submit to the irrigation manager every Friday,
  • Fully participate in semiannual stocktaking and ensure the right counts are obtained.
  • Ensure all sales are within approved profit margins
  • Any other duties assigned to you by the general manager, Sales manager or irrigation Manager.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • A university degree in Engineering disciplines like Water, Civil and Agricultural Engineering Specialties
  • Any further qualification in Sales would be an added advantage
  • At least 3 years work experience in Engineering and Sales Management
  • Willingness to travel and work in a local, regional and global market set up
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office 2000, Internet and Email
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare proposals and tactfully and decisively manage clients
