Diakonie Emergency Aid (DEA) is a worldwide humanitarian
assistance agency of the Protestant Church of Germany.
The regional office in Nairobi is in charge of relief projects
in the greater Horn of Africa and Madagascar.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee
Security Management at the Regional Office
- Oversee
Emergency Preparedness at the Regional Office
- Coordinate
Administration, Logistics and Finance Operations staff at the Regional
Office (5 Staff)
- Represent
DEA at meetings when the need arises
- Coordinate
communication with the DEA Board
- Focal
point on Information Technology (IT) within the organization
- Update
and maintain organization policies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Masters
in Administration or related field is desired.
- At
least 5 years working experience with an international NGO
- At
least 2 years at a supervisory role in an NGO
- Excellent
working knowledge of Microsoft office
- Knowledge
of Database Applications and other Software Applications will be an added
advantage
- Knowledge
of Human Resource Management is desired
- Excellent
knowledge of spoken and written English is required
- Excellent
planning skills are required
- Excellent
writing skills are required
- Possess
creative problem solving skills
