Grants Manager

Location: Nairobi

Pathfinder International is an international non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting high-quality comprehensive and integrated health services in Kenya. 

We are seeking highly motivated, talented and hard working individual for the position of Grants Manager – Nairobi
 

In close coordination with the relevant finance, administration and program staff, and under the supervision of the Deputy Project Director, the Grants Manager is responsible for sub-grant oversight and management. 

The oversight includes coordination and review of designated subgrant proposals, processing of sub-grant agreements and subsequent modifications, monitoring and financial management of the sub-grant during the sub-award period, and closing of the subaward.
 
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum of five years relevant work experience in a non-profit environment
  • Extensive work experience in international sub-grant project management in Kenya or any other developing country.
  • Qualification and/or experience in project management would be an added advantage
  • Thorough understanding of USG rules and regulations and sound judgment in applying them
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and high degree of accuracy; strong analytical skills and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Good communication, computer skills and experience with database software
