We are pleased to announce the following vacancy within the
Resources Division.
In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a
person who meets the criteria indicated below:
Senior Reward Officer
Reporting to the Senior Manager-Reward; the successful candidate will administer the payroll function and ensure accurate and timely payment of staff salaries.
In addition the Senior Reward Officer will ensure that statutory
payments and relevant journals are done on time.
Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure
that payroll is processed for all Permanent and Contract staff on a
monthly basis in an accurate and timely manner;
- Undertake
payroll reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of the
payroll;
- Ensuring
that statutory deductions and payments (PAYE, NSSF and NHIF) are done in a
timely manner as per the relevant statutory Acts;
- Ensure
that all reports and schedules relating to check off loans, Pension, HELB
are done and submitted to the relevant offices on time;
- Provide
Support in processing the main payroll that will include processing of
timesheets;
- Prepare
payroll journals and liaise with the Finance team on journal
reconciliations;
- Respond
to all Payroll / Reward related queries from Permanent and Contract staff;
- Preparation
and processing of loan documentation for staff and ensuring that the 1/3
rule is adhered to;
- Administrative
support to the Reward team;
Minimum Requirements:
- A
degree in Social Sciences/Business Administration from a recognized
university;
- 2-3
years generalist experience in Human Resources Management;
- Excellent
knowledge and hands on working experience in operating Microsoft Office
suite- Ms Word, Ms Excel, & Payroll program, preferably Oracle;
- Knowledge
of income tax rules;
- CPA
Certifications is a desirable;
- Highly
analytical;
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills with ability to network and
establish effective working relationships across the company;
- Confident,
highly organized, conscientious and detail oriented person.
