Job Title: Senior Reinsurance
Executive / Branch Liaison Officer
Department: Underwriting
Reporting to: Head of Underwriting
Overall Responsibility
The position also
plays the role of a branch supervisor.
Key Tasks, Duties and
Responsibilities
- Supporting
individual departments with all reinsurance related issues
- Using
the system to reserve all treaty coding issues
- Ensuring
that the company deals with reputable reinsurance companies at all times
- Timely
processing of statutory returns
- Processing
and negotiating competitive treaty renewals terms
- Placement
of facultative business. Both inward and outward.
- Preparing
reinsurance reports for management.
- Ensuring
timely processing of recoveries
- Ensuring
that the company’s reinsurance programs are adequate and cost effective
- Processing
of branch credit notes and refunds
- Processing
of Insurance Premium Finance applications
- Management
of COMESA yellow cards
- Processing
credit notes and policy cancellations and other relevant endorsements from
the branches
- Any
other duties assigned by management in line with task
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Business from recognized university
- 5
papers in ACII or equivalent
- 4 years
relevant experience
- A very
