Background and Objectives
The Regional AIDS Training Network (RATN) is an international non-profit organisation with operations in Eastern & Southern Africa (ESA) region.
RATN represents a consortium of training institutions who
collaborate on training activities related to STIs/HIV/AIDS in the region and
whose mission is to strengthen the capacity of relevant individuals,
organisations and other stakeholders to effectively respond to
STIs/HIV/AIDS.
Currently RATN has 33 institutions that are full members spread
across 11 countries in ESA region.
RATN is seeking for a fresh graduate student, to work in the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation unit.

Scope of Work – Monitoring & Evaluation Intern
Learning Objective
- To
gain experience in how to work with M&E data, perform basic data
analysis and how to review and produce reports for an International NGO
Activities and Deliverables
- Review
M&E data and reports and prepare feedback on the data and reports
- Enter
all M&E data into spreadsheets and or databases
- Prepare
basic reports from the spreadsheets and databases
- Conduct
alumni follow up and analyse alumni follow up data and produce reports
- Any
other duties that may be assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelors
Degree in Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences or its equivalent
- Experienced
in conducting statistical analysis using statistical software (SPSS
preferable).
- Experienced
in preparing and formatting graphs and tables using MS Office applications
(Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Proficient
in written communications.
- The
ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Willingness
to learn and collaborate with others.
- Strong
communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent
oral and written English language skills.
- Experience
living/working in a culturally diverse environment.
