Regional Sales Manager

Place of Work:
 Nairobi, Kenya

Basic Function: 

The Regional Sales Manager, will be responsible for business development and accountable for achieving the regional sales and profitability goals.

This role will provide direction and leadership to the sales representatives while responsible for the customer satisfaction and market share within the region.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provides quality leadership for 1 Golden World internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding organizational values at all times: inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of sales strategies and setting sales targets
  • Analyze and provide market analysis to improve product service positioning and increase effectiveness of the sales team
  • Responsible for recruiting, training and career development for sales representatives
  • Allocate areas to sales representatives and set sales targets for individual reps and your team as a whole, according to company guidelines.
  • Monitor team performance through coaching, mentoring and motivating them to reach targets
  • Responsible for the forecasting and sales tracking through compiling and analyzing sales figures
  • Deal with the account management of some major customers
  • Develop strong ties with customers and accounts, collecting customer feedback and market research
  • Track results and communicate to senior management
  • Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability to ensure the company is up to date with products and competitors
  • May also be involved in coordinating marketing efforts in the region
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A bachelors degree in a business field
  • At least 3 years experience in the eco-solutions and sustainable development industry with a good network within the industry
  • Experience in IT, budget and report writing skills
  • Expertise experience in eco solutions product is an added advantage
  • A valid driving license
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make quick decisions quickly
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to motivate, train and lead a team with enthusiasm
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure
