Board Secretary Job in Kenya

Our client, a well established State Corporation is seeking to recruit a Board Secretary to join its senior management team.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will provide secretarial services to both management and the Board of Directors.

He/she will ensure safe custody of all board records; prepare and arrange all Board meetings and those of its committees; facilitates preparation of Board charter and ensures accurate recording and timely dissemination of Board minutes; advises the Board on good corporate governance practices including government guidelines and requirements; reviews and advises on due diligence reports; maintains an up to date records of all gazetted matters relating to the Corporation and participates in special projects and assignments of strategic importance to the organization.

Qualification, Experience & Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university;
  • Must be a Certified Public Secretary (CPS-K) and a full member of ICPSK
  • At least five (5) years relevant experience
  • Good knowledge and experience in Corporate governance and company laws
  • Sound analytical, communication and report writing skills; and
