Marketing and Customer Service Manager
 Ref: HRD/MCS/02/12
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership for the designing, planning and implementation of the Marketing, Customer Service and Corporate Social Responsibility functions.
Particular Responsibilities Include:
·         Ensuring that the Hospital has effective Marketing, Customer Service, Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility strategies and plans.
·         Identifying gaps in the Hospital service offering and providing direction for service and product development.
·         Implementing appropriate programs for selecting and segmenting the Hospital’s market and facilitating niche driven marketing.
·         Developing and effecting systems for tracking and evaluating financial and non-financial benefits of Marketing, Customer Service and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
·         Facilitating internal branding, marketing and customer service programs.
·         Participating in determining the Hospital’s pricing approach and in negotiating contracts.
·         Monitoring customer satisfaction indices and facilitating resolution of customer complaints.
·         Participating in developing and streamlining service delivery operational systems to improve the quality of care.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·         Degree in business Administration or Marketing or equivalent.
·         Professional qualifications in Marketing.
·         Seven (7) years progressive working experience in Marketing with at least 3 at a senior level. Experience in the service sector would be an added advantage.
·         Effective leadership skills.
·         Solid influencing and negotiation skills.
·         Business savvy.
Financial Controller
Ref: HRD/FC/02/12
Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the finance and accounting functions and providing leadership to Divisional Senior Accountants and their teams.
Particular Responsibilities Include:
·         Spearheading the budget preparation process and assisting budget holders with the preparation of business plans and capital investment appraisals.
·         Reviewing and designing systems of monitoring performance against budget.
·         Analyzing and reporting significant budget variances and identifying along with the divisional accountants, possible remedial actions.
·         Establishing and maintaining effective internal control systems and procedures.
·         Co-ordinating the preparation of accurate and up to date financial and management accounting information and reports to facilitate decision making.
·         Maintaining an up to date assets register.
·         Ensuring that operational and capital expenditure are appropriate by reviewing and comparing costs with industry standards.
·         Providing relevant monthly reports with appropriate interpretation and advice to the Senior Management according to agreed timetables.
·         Ensuring effective cash flow and treasury management.
·         Liaising with the external auditors and managing the annual audit process

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·         Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting or its equivalent.
·         CPA (K) 0r ACCA.
·         Seven (7) years progressive working experience in finance with at least 3 at a senior level.
·         Expert knowledge of accounting, auditing and financial and management reporting.
·         Proficient in accounting software applications.
·         Experience in auditing would be an added advantage.
Lecturers – Nursing & Critical Care Specialization
Ref: HRD/LEC/02/12
Reporting to the Principal, Cecily McDonnell School of Nursing, the successful candidates will take a lead role in developing competent Nurses by providing integration of nursing theory and practice in the Kenya Registered Nursing (KRN), Bachelor of Science and other basic and post—basic nursing education programmes.
Particular Responsibilities Include:
·         Participating in curriculum development and review.
·         Organising lesson plans and teaching resources for learning programmes.
·         Participating in recruitment of students.
·         Setting, moderating, administering and marking examinations.
·         Supervising students in both classroom and clinical setup.
·         Providing guidance and counselling to students.
·         Participating in the development and review of procedures, policies and standards.
·         Maintaining proper student’s records throughout training.
·         Participating ¡n the development and review of curricula for both Basic and Post Basic programmes.
·         Contributing to research, publication and professional conferences and workshops.
Qualifications and Experience
·         Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a Diploma in Advanced Nursing.
·         Postgraduate diploma in Critical Care Nursing or Masters in Critical Care Nursing is essential for those applying for Critical Care Lecturer position.
·         At least 5 years work experience 3 of which should have been in teaching.
·         Experience in teaching, assessing and mentoring.
·         Good counselling skills.
Occupational Therapist
Ref: HRD/OT/02/12
Reporting to the Chief Physiotherapist, the successful candidate will organise, conduct and evaluate care plans for inpatient and outpatient referred for therapy.
Particular Responsibilities Include:
·         Coordinating and conducting in-depth evaluation and assessment of patients who have physical disabilities, disorders or injuries.
·         Identifying treatment goals, appropriate therapy techniques and equipment.
·         Carrying out rehabilitative programs.
·         Advising patients, ward staff and family members on treatment plans, techniques and exercises.
·         Conducting regular evaluation of patients to assess progress and response to therapy.
·         Developing treatment plans to be followed by patients after discharge.
·         Conducting educational sessions on occupational therapy and rehabilitation management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·         Diploma in Occupational therapy
·         Registered by the Kenya Occupational Therapy Association (KOTA)
·         Two (2) years work experience.
·         Training in splintage would be an added advantage.
·         Valid practice licence.
·         Good interpersonal skills.
·         Effective communication skills.
