Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responding
to written and telephone enquiries from investors, listed companies and
the general public;
- Provision
of investment and related information as well as assistance to clients in
person and/ or via telephone, fax and mail;
- Implementation
of systems and procedures to enhance a positive corporate image aimed at
promoting the activities of NSE;
- Facilitating
production and distribution of NSE corporate publications;
- Organizing
venues, equipment and services for NSE functions and events;
- Maintaining
close contact with the media including updating the media database, media
library and carrying out the media monitoring function;
- Maintaining
and updating of client databases;
- Selling
advertising space on the NSE website and magazine;
- Administering
and updating the NSE website on a continuous basis;
- Production
of the NSE e-newsletter; and
- Administering
the Complaints Handling Unit.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors
degree in communication, journalism or related fields from a reputable
university;
- Minimum
two (2) years relevant experience;
- Established
contacts in the print and electronic media;
- Excellent
communication skills;
- Good
attention to detail;
- Willingness
to work extra hours and under pressure;
- High
level of self esteem and teamwork; and
- Passion
and high definition of the customer.
2. Officer, Compliance & Legal

- Reviewing
and preparing all contracts relating to and involving the NSE;
- Maintaining
the database for contracts and NSE Rules;
- Assisting
in provision of legal support to NSE’s departments;
- Assisting
in research and development of NSE Rules relating to new products and
changes to existing products;
- Assisting
in legal research and provision of legal advice relating to new or
proposed capital markets laws and regulations;
- Review
of listing applications;
- Assisting
in company secretarial functions;
- Assisting
in reviewing and maintaining information related to listed companies and
Trading Participants;
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Law. Qualifications in a business related field will be an added
advantage;
- Minimum
of two (2) years working experience. Experience in the capital markets
will be an added advantage;
- Very
good report writing skills coupled with sound IT proficiency;
- Excellent
interpersonal skills;
- Good
research and analytical skills;
- Possess
a high level of integrity; and
- Have
ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged information and to
ensure absolute discretion and sensitivity to confidential matters.
