The Board of Directors of The Jomo Kenyatta Foundation hereby
invites applications from suitably qualified and eligible Form One students for the year 2012
scholarships.
Applicants MUST meet the following criteria;
i. Be Kenyan citizens.
ii. Have sat KCPE in the year 2011 and obtained at least 350 marks and above.Applicants MUST meet the following criteria;
i. Be Kenyan citizens.
iii. Preference will be given to pupils from public primary schools.
iv. Be of good discipline.
v. Be an orphan or from a disadvantaged background.
vi. Be admitted in a public secondary school.
Duration
The scholarship will initially benefit the successful applicants for a period of one academic year on the basis of the student’s academic performance, financial circumstances and discipline record.
The Foundation’s Board will determine continued sponsorship for the remaining academic period.
In aggregate, the sponsorship will last for a period of four years from the year of award or
until the beneficiary ceases to be a student in a Public Secondary School.
Application Procedure
Interested students can apply by filling ‘The JKF Scholarship application form for the year
2012’ available on The Jomo Kenyatta Foundation website (www.jkf.co.ke) or from education offices countrywide.
The following support documents MUST be attached to the application form:
- A
certified copy of KCPE results slip.
- Evidence
of being an orphan or from a disadvantaged background.
