services organization based in Nairobi is looking for motivated Proposal Writers to secure grant funding for agricultural livelihood projects
and research in rural communities.

- Develop
a pipeline of proposal applications and achieve monthly targets for
submissions and approvals.
- Be
familiar with the requirements and formats of different donors with
respect to sectors, priorities, guidelines and what budget lines are
fundable and what are not.
- Know
the time frame and submission deadlines for the relevant donors.
- Identify
strategies for multiple funding of rural livelihood development projects.
- Identify
new sources of funding via list serves, internet searches, and networking.
- Represent
organization to potential donors at forums and events.
Requirements
- 2
years economic development or agriculture experience with established
proposal writing skills under strict deadlines.
- Capacity
to work with non-governmental organizations, bilateral development
agencies.
- Familiarity
with requirements of key livelihood donors and capacity to work in a
multi-donor environment.
- Good
program design skills, including capacity to prepare logical, coherent and
consistent documents including log frames.
- Ability
to present effectively to decision groups of donors.
