Job Summary

The incumbent will serve as Accountant to the HIV/AIDS programme and technical staff members.

Working under the supervision of the Program Administrator, She/he will provide finance functions based on good working knowledge of PEPFAR.

She/he will work with the Program Administrator to implement financial systems of the program guided by the laid down principles and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage program bank accounts, cash imprest, and cash flow to ensure all financial obligations are met on schedule (payables/payroll/utilities)
  • Ensure compliance with program policies and SOPs in all financial matters.
  • Coordinate management and maintenance of all financial systems and operations.
  • Ensure accountability in the preparation, consolidation and submission financial reports.
  • Ensure budget processes and targets are properly documented and monitored regularly.
  • Follow up and monitor the progress of financial audit recommendations.
  • Updating the QuickBooks accounting system on a daily basis
  • Preparing payment vouchers and cheques.
  • Remitting monthly statutory deductions.
  • Ensure that all staff working advances are accounted for within the stipulated time.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned.
Education And Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration.
  • CPA finalist
  • 3 years and above work experience in an NGO setting.
  • Experience in partner implemented programs and in working with health management teams and systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office and Quick books.
  • Team builder
  • Expert knowledge of office procedures and etiquette.
