To ensure that we remain competitive and sustainable in future, we are in the process of implementing our strategic plans including establishing an ethanol distillery plant that will produce 22 million litres of ethanol per annum and building a water bottling plant with a capacity of 20 million litres per annum.
These projects are targeted for completion by the end of the year 2011.
We are seeking a talented individual to fill the position of:
Production Manager
Job Purpose: To ensure there is efficiency in production of goods and services in line with the company’s vision.To ensure that we remain competitive and sustainable in future, we are in the process of implementing our strategic plans including establishing an ethanol distillery plant that will produce 22 million litres of ethanol per annum and building a water bottling plant with a capacity of 20 million litres per annum.

We are seeking a talented individual to fill the position of:
Production Manager
Principal Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and schedule production activities and supervise the production process to be utilized effectively.
- Evaluate the capacities and capabilities of production resources for optimal productivity
- Ensure that there is optimum use of materials, machines, energy, capital, labour and technology
- Harmonize the production methods to sufficiently respond to changing market demands
- Ensure the best cost effective measures are applied in the production process meets the quality threshold .
- Provide a safe healthy and enabling working environment resulting in zero tolerance on accidents.
- Spearhead the budgeting process for the section and ensure cost control.
- Constantly evaluate and review new innovations that exist with a view to improving the production processes.
- Conduct training needs analysis for staff and ensure attainment of the skill set required for optimum performance.
- Participate in recruitment of staff in the section and undertake performance reviews of the Managers.
- Handle employee disputes and take appropriate action in line with approved policies, procedures and regulations.
Minimum Requirements
In order to qualify for this job, the candidate should possess the following:

- Masters degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Post graduate qualification in Business Management and or Project management.
- 5 years experience in a large manufacturing industry, 3 years as a Factory Manager
