Position: Inventory Management Officer

Deloitte seeks to recruit well qualified personnel for an ongoing USAID-funded medical supply chain project.

Position Description:

The Inventory Management Officer (“IM Officer”), based in Nairobi, Kenya, will serve as a team member responsible for strengthening inventory management to ensure that the client plans and procures inventory in an efficient and effective manner.

The IM Officer will support the Supply Chain Lead and work with the team to successfully execute all activities related to strengthening inventory management through supply chain planning.

Key duties include:
  • Perform highly complex data analysis on supply chain planning data and develop reports from this analysis
  • Develop detailed documentation of supply chain planning processes, activities, tasks, roles & responsibilities, and software requirements
  • Support Supply Chain Lead during engagement with stakeholders to strengthen supply chain planning operations
  • Develop training material on supply chain policies, processes, and procedures
Required qualifications include:
  • Knowledge and experience in performing complex data analysis using Excel and developing process flow diagrams using tools such as Visio
  • Advanced skills in writing and communication
  • Experience with forecasting, quantification, and procurement planning;
  • Experience ERP implementation is desirable
  • Minimum of five years experience and proven track record in supply chain planning and inventory management
  • Masters degree in a related field is required
