Solidarites International (SI), PISP and VSF-Germany formed a partnership to respond to the ‘EC Water Facility’ call for proposals under the objective of helping achieving the water and sanitation MDGs and in particular to halve by 2015 the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation.
The project will cover the three (3) administrative Districts of North Horr, Chalbi and Loyangalani. The sanitation component of the project aim to build on a mix of Community-Led Total Sanitation approach (CLTS) recently developed in India and replicated in many countries around the world, while still incorporating some element of the PHAST approach.
It will be the responsibility of the trainer/consultant to develop a clear curriculum integrating the articulations between the two approaches, to organize and deliver high-standard CLTS trainings to technical project staffs and facilitators. The trainings will target technical projects staffs, facilitators of the CLTS and where feasible, ministry staffs. The trainings will be organized in Marsabit, North Horr and/or Ileret. The trainings shall be delivered in September.
Solidarites International, PISP and VSF-Germany are hereby requesting qualified trainers and training firms to express interest and demonstrate their qualification to develop, organize and deliver this type of training.
Requirements:
The consultancy/trainer firms or individuals shall submit:
§ The expression their interest in this consultancy/training;
§ A brief description of their technical capacity on organizing this type of trainings;
§ A detailed description of their specific expertise on CLTS, including CVs of key technical trainers;
§ A list similar and comparable assignments undertaken in recent past, while providing contacts for references.

These expressions of interest will be used to pre-select suitable consultancy/trainer firms or individuals.
Specific Terms of References will then be circulated to the pre-selected consultancy/trainer firms or individuals for submitting a full technical and financial proposal.
