TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) is an organisation funded by a range of development agencies to promote regional trade and economic integration in East Africa.

Headquartered in Nairobi with branches in Arusha, Bujumbura, Dar es Salaam, Kampala and Kigali, TMEA seeks to support East African integration through:
·         A reduction in transport and related costs along the key corridors in East Africa;

·         Supporting EAC institutions to develop a comprehensive framework for regional integration;
·         Supporting partner states to substantially increase the implementation of a comprehensive framework for regional integration; and
·         Engaging private sector and civil society to positively influence regional integration policies and practices for growth in trade.
Finance Manager for TMEA
TMEA is seeking to recruit a high calibre, results-oriented and self-driven experienced finance professional to join our Corporate Services team in the position of Finance Manager.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the job holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of corporate accounts, financial planning, analysis and reporting.
The successful candidate will develop and oversee the implementation of financial policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance across a wide range of financial matters. S/he will prepare periodic financial and management reports required for decision making, including statutory reports and returns.
The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree preferably in accounting, finance or other business related field and be a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) or possess an equivalent professional accounting qualification. S/he will have at least 7 years work experience in a busy medium sized organisation, 3 of which should
have been in a middle management role.
Demonstrable experience in developing accounting systems and financial procedures, as well as maintaining internal controls in a busy organisation is a key requirement for the role. Experience in the not-for-profit sector is an advantage.
This is a 3-year contract with an attractive salary and benefit package. The TMEA Finance Manager will be based in Nairobi, Kenya with occasional travel within East Africa.
Finance Manager for the East African Business Council
TMEA has agreed a programme of assistance to regional private sector and civil society organisations to support regional integration reforms. The programme aims to strengthen private sector and civil society inputs and actively engage them in influencing regional integration and trade policy. In this regard, TMEA is financing the Technical Adviser post of Finance Manager at the East African Business Council (EABC) a membership-based private sector organisation based in Arusha, Tanzania.
Reporting to the EABC Executive Director, the EABC Finance Manager be responsible for establishing and maintaining an efficient financial management, governance and administration system. S/he will develop and strengthen the functions of Finance, Administration, Procurement and Management within the EABC in order to ensure that
the organisation is effective and efficient and that its financial systems and control meet international best practice principles.
The successful candidate should be a professionally qualified accountant with current membership of a professional accounting body and will possess a relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. S/he will have at least 7 years working experience, 5 of which should have been in a senior management role within Finance. A proven track
record in developing and implementing finance based capacity building programmes and of one-to-one staff training and strengthening is essential.
This is a 2-year contract with an attractive salary and benefit package. The EABC Finance Manager will be based in Arusha, Tanzania with occasional travel within East Africa.
