Project Executive Assistant Job Vacancy in Nairobi Kenya

The Training and Development Centers of the Bavarian Employers’ Associations (bfz) is currently implementing a project in the Kenyan water sector, sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The main objective of the project is to help the water service providers to improve their services to consumers. The specific objective is to strengthen our partner associations WASPA (Water Service Providers’ Association) and KWIA (Kenyan Water Industrial Association) and help them improve their sphere of influence and competencies.

To support the Project Manager in implementing this project, we invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates with excellent credentials to fill the following full time position as a Project Executive Assistant (PEA):

Specific Duties and Responsibilities (PEA)

The PEA is

  • to advise and support the project partners WASPA and KWIA and further selected institutions with the organisational development of the associations in the project region according to the project proposal and the existing project agreement between bfz and the project partners.
  • to coordinate locally under the guidance of the project manager and in cooperation with the project management the measures developed by all partners.
  • to support the project manager in all her assignments
  • to prepare, organise and implement trainings, meetings and other events within the project
  • to support the local coordination in local and international short-term missions
  • to responsible handle routine assignments in the project (e.g. maintenance of the project homepage, administrative tasks, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • University Degree in Business Administration, International Development or Water Management
  • Experience in working with international organisations
  • Good report writing and communication skills
  • Team player
  • Proficiency in standard Office Computer Applications
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Experience in strategic management including meeting deadlines
