We seek to fill the following vacancies in our security department and invite qualified and dedicated applicants

Assistant Security Officer
1 Position

Assisting the Security Officer, the Assistant Security Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating safety and security procedures.

He will act as focal point for safety coordination and information sharing between the relevant actors within the area of operation.

Key Accountabilities
  • Assists in writing and developing policies and procedures for the security department
  • Scheduling of departmental employees, coaching, training and evaluations
  • Establishing good communication- and goodwill with the local police, informal leaders and relevant members of the local community
  • Manage the implementation of departmental standards
  • Ensure that all security personnel as well as the company's employees are adhering to security procedures and regulations Co-ordinate with the local investigators in crime and accident handling and investigations
  • Assist the Security Officer in rolling out security plans for the farm
  • Periodically inspect and ensure servicing of firefighting equipment.
  • Manage and inspect the log entry and exit of personnel, materials, vehicles etc.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • At least KCSE mean grade C+ or equivalent
  • Appropriate training in security work with either Kenya police or Armed Forces desired
  • Four years experience in all areas of security operations including investigation, report writing and presentation, physical security, personal protection, strategic and operational planning, fire prevention and suppression and methods of instructions or related area.
  • Proficiency in English and Kiswahili
  • Knowledge of security communication equipment, first aid and fire fighting skills are desirable
2. Security Guards (Males and Females)
16 positions

The security Guards will be responsible for the general security of the whole farm and any property therein.

Key Accountabilities
  • Carry out patrols and preserve order
  • Conduct searches within the farm
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors and any other persons
  • Ensure proper handover at the beginning and end of assignment
  • Maintain accurate records of occurrences
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • At least Secondary School level KCSE mean grade D+ or its equivalent
  • Past experience in security industry, armed forces or National Youth Service is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Kiswahili both oral and written
  • Two years job experience
Qualities and Personal Attributes for Both Positions
  • Be between 24 and 40 years old
  • Be at least 5 ft and 8 (for males) and 5ft and 5 inches (for females) tall with good body physique.
  • Have a body weight of at least 65 kilograms
  • Highly disciplined
  • Physically fit
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Professional grooming
  • Should be able to present company best interest at all times.
Additional Mandatory Documents for Both Positions
  • A certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police (Not more than six months old)
  • Those with waiting slips, as evidence that they have applied for the certificate shall be given an opportunity
  • Two referee letters from persons from reputable profession (Referee letters from relatives are not valid)
  • Two recent color passport photographs (with white background)
  • National Identification card
