Head of Sales and Marketing
Ref: EAPCC/HSM/8/APRIL/11
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for providing effective leadership and oversight to the sales and marketing team to enable the Company maximize return on sales so as to meet agreed business and corporate objectives
Specific responsibilities and key result areas will include:-
- Develop and oversee the execution of the Sales and Marketing strategy, including identifying markets and potential customers;
- Provide leadership on the day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing department, while maintaining focus on EAPCC's strategic goals;
- Oversee the development of business growth initiatives;
- Oversee the marketing programme for EAPCC products;
- Monitor competitor activities as well as the performance of the company's products in the market and advise management accordingly;
- Analyze sales statistics to determine business growth and potential;
- Develop and maintain strong business relations with all customers of EAPCC;
- Initiate action plans to approach and secure new business for EAPCC;
- Oversee the development of new markets / opportunities to fully utilize the production capacity and also to capture highly profitable segments; and
- Oyersee the overall management of the department and identify training and development needs of the staff.
We would like to discuss this position with interested applicants who have:-
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or a business related field. MBA will be an added advantage.
- Have at least 8-10 years experience with 4 years at senior management level out of which at least 5 years in marketing FMCG.
- Professional certification in Sales and marketing.
- Membership to professional body such as Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK).
- Excellent budgeting skills, basic project management skills and profeciency in use of computer.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, managerial and team player capabilities.
