KPMG’s Internal Audit Risk and Compliance Services (IARCS) practice is an area of the firm with tremendous growth potential and provides three core services:
  • Corporate Governance;
  • Enterprise Risk management; and
  • Internal Audit.
As the role of internal audit evolves from score-keeper to value-maker, KPMG helps clients in making this transition. We assist with the transformation of the internal audit function from its traditional, transactions-based model to one that delivers strategic business assurance and value.

We help clients preserve shareholder value and make informed business decisions by putting in place an enterprise risk management system that continuously improves the controls environment and guards against risk.

We provide support with regulatory compliance, corporate governance, third party contract compliance and global sustainability by helping our clients adopt the structures, culture, procedures, controls, roles and communication processes that can optimize business performance and shareholder confidence.

To complement our existing team, we seek an exceptional professional ¡n the position of an
 Internal Audit Manager to join the Internal Risk and Compliance Services (IARCS).

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Reporting directly to the Partner, the successful person will:
  • Participate in internal audit strategy formulation;
  • Identify and evaluate client goals and objectives in the context of their operating environment;
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of how current and emerging legal, regulatory, governance, internal auditing, accounting and financial reporting standards affect their clients;
  • Carry out risk assessment of client internal controls;
  • Prepare and review reports on internal audit findings and recommendations;
  • Actively manage a portfolio of clients whilst forging and maintaining robust relationships with them;
  • Manage and motivate a team of staff.
Your qualifications and skills:
  • Able to demonstrate commercial awareness with sound knowledge of matters affecting the market;
  • Understand and interpret financial data;
  • Excellent report-writing and presentation skills;
  • Enthusiastic approach to work, well developed management and supervisory skills;
  • Socially confident, with good interpersonal skills;
  • A degree from a recognized university, coupled with a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, or CPA;
  • Additional qualification such as CIA will be an added advantage; and
  • At least 5 years working experience gained in a reputable audit firm or in an Internal Audit function.
