Job Description:

Your task will be :-
· Selling holiday and travel products to customers;
· Meeting sales targets as set out by the travel agency manager;
· Dealing with complicated customer itineraries;
· Handling customer orders and payments;
· Liaising with tour operators and other key partners such as hotels and airlines regarding bookings and schedules;
· Undertaking general administration;
· Advising clients about passports, vaccinations, visas, foreign currency, travel insurance, car parking, car hire abroad and excursions in resorts;
· Dealing with complaints;
· Using and updating it skills, since information on holiday packages and bookings is usually accessed via a network;
· Organizing displays of promotional material.
Skills/Requirements:
· An advanced diploma from a recognized training institution
· Minimum of 1 years travel consultant experience and must have Galileo certificate.
· Be able to navigate websites quickly and find required information
· Have an excellent knowledge of African geography, especially East Africa
· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook (Webdesign will be a real plus)
· Strong numerical ability for calculating costs
· Have the necessary writing & sales skills to close a sale via phone / internet
· Have a good telephone manner and strong communication skills
· Be able to work under pressure, sometimes for long
· Possess excellent organizational skills and be able to multi-task
· Have the ability to work well as part of a team
