Reproductive Health Program Manager Career Opportunity

Summary
Our client is a leading global health organization with programs targeting malaria, child survival, HIV and reproductive health. Working in partnership with the public and private sectors, the non profit organization provides life-saving products, clinical services and behavior change communications that empower the world’s most vulnerable populations to lead healthier lives.
The organization is looking to fill the position of a Reproductive Health Program Manager for their AIDS, Population and Health Integrated Assistance (APHIA+) Project. He/ she will manage all aspects of APHIA+ deliverables on reproductive health and will be responsible for the development of quality Reproductive Health communications and activities implemented by the project.
The Reproductive Health Program Manager will oversee the APHIA+ Reproductive Health team and will report to the
APHIA+ Project Manager.
Responsibilities
·         Manage development of all Reproductive Health communications under APHIA+ deliverables.
·         Work with communications agency to develop Reproductive Health communications and ensure that communication materials are disseminated and distributed to relevant stakeholders/audiences.
·         Work closely with the HIV APHIA+ program team to implement cross cutting strategies proposed.
·         Develop key strategies and messages for outreach and provide technical support to the teams to ensure effective implementation.
·         Manage demand creation activities in Coast and Nairobi through development of key messages, training of the teams and continuous supervision of the teams.
·         Maintain good relations with APHIA+ prime partner and ensure reports are submitted as required.
·         Responsible for achievement of Reproductive Health deliverables under APHIA+.
·         Supervise staff in Nairobi and Coast provinces. Develop their capabilities, coach and create an environment where failure is seen as an opportunity to learn.
·         Promote development of breakthrough solutions; embrace and advocate innovations that improve results.
Requirements
·         Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
·         3 years experience working in Communications, Marketing of FMCG, or Public Health related fields.
·         Experience with development and placement of multi media interventions.
·         Experience with interpersonal communications development and implementation, health products experience preferred
·         Staff management experience
·         Advanced writing and superior presentation skills
·         Sharp analytical skills
·         Computer literate
