Quality Management System Manager Career in Kenya – Chemonics International

Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm, seeks a Quality Management System Manager for a long-term position on an anticipated USAID-funded project supporting supply chain strengthening for the health sector in Kenya.
The project will provide assistance and support to government entities in their efforts to become stronger, more efficient, more effective, and increasingly accountable.
The Quality Management System Manager will spearhead the documentation of business processes, and potential reengineering of the processes to allow continual improvement of the services provided. S/he will be working with the project team, USAID team and partnerships and must have a strong customer service attitude with a flexible nature.
S/he shall be able to interpret the project’s needs and reflect them in a sound quality management system.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
·         Minimum of five years of experience in QMS, including relevant training;
·         Work style that is proactive and self-motivating with exceptional relationship management skills;
·         Proven solid analytical skills;
·         Demonstrated experience managing quality management systems that support business process mapping and/or experience in QMS for supply chain management;
·         Microsoft Visio fluency (or similar software)
·         ISO 9001 experience required;
·         Demonstrated experience in Six-Sigma and Lean a plus;
·         Familiarity with health sector and or supply chain management highly preferred;
·         IT experience, database management experience and/or information management experience a plus;
·         Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing;
·         Demonstrated ability to create and sustain effective working relationships with senior government personnel, health workers, procurement officials, host country citizens, U.S. and foreign government organizations, and the private sector;
·         English fluency.
