Corporate Governance Director Career in Kenya – Chemonics International

Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm, seeks a Corporate Governance Director for a long-term position on an anticipated USAID-funded project supporting supply chain strengthening for the health sector in Kenya.
The project will provide assistance and support to government entities in their efforts to become stronger, more efficient, more effective, and increasingly accountable.
The Corporate Governance Director is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of improved corporate governance initiatives and business process development.  The position requires a practical knowledge of organizational design, change management, project management, team development, leadership development, talent management and instructional design.
The Corporate Governance Director will collaboratively design, develop, and implement improved corporate governance interventions to increase transparency and accountability within the partner entities.   S/he will advise managers on aligning organizational design and business strategies so that service objectives are achieved.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess:
·         Advanced degree in Business Administration, Organization Development, Industrial Psychology, or related field;
·         8+ years of business experience including design, delivery, and facilitation of governance, leadership, and professional development interventions;
·         Work style that is proactive, collaborative, and self-motivating with exceptional relationship management skills;
·         Proven ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, draw conclusions, and make recommendations for improvement;
·         Proven ability to influence all levels of management;
·         Familiarity with health sector and or supply chain management highly preferred;
·         Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing;
·         Demonstrated ability to create and sustain effective working relationships with senior government personnel, health workers, procurement officials, host country citizens, U.S. and foreign government organizations, and the private sector;
·         English fluency.
