Duties and Responsibilities
·         Contribute to project proposal preparation and provide advice on unforeseen financial implications;
·         Participate in budget discussions, input approved budget into focus computer software and distribute final drafts to Branch Office for record and processing of sub-agreements;
·         Maintain sub-projects records of all projects administered by implementing agencies and directly implemented by Sub Office Dadaab;
·         Ensure expenditure control, monitor accuracy and advice the Sub office on action to be taken;
·         Prepare financial reports required periodically which includes sub-project monitoring reports and analysis of project expenditures for donor reporting and for management presentation and decision making;
·         Record sub-project monitoring reports submitted by implementing partners, conduct periodic financial verification, close and forward reports on time to Branch Office;
·         Check and verify all project payment requests in confirmation with supporting documents, budget code, obligation level, availability of funds, and technical approval of vendors and vouchers payment;
·         Perform sport auditing of the accounts of implementing agencies for further verification of financial report submitted to Branch Office and ensure that all financial expenditures are in accordance with the sub-agreement and project description; ensure compliance with auditing requirements by arranging and facilitation annual external audit exercise;
·         Advice and train implementing partner’s staff on how to prepare SPMRs and ensure quality thereof;
·         Perform other duties are required.
Qualification Requirements
Knowledge and skills:
·         Certificates in Accounting or Finance or Economics and Certified Public Accountant (K) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA)
·         University degree in Accounting or Finance or Economics is an added advantage;
·         Knowledge of project management;
·         Excellent computer skills (in Excel , Word and PowerPoint and People Soft/MSRP);
Experience:
·         Past relevant experience relevant to the function – 4 years;
Languages:
·         Fluency in spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
·         Knowledge of other UN language desirable;

·         Good interpersonal skills
·         Demonstrated ability as a team
·         Flexibility and adaptability
