Information Technology Coordinator Job in Kenya

Job Summary
Reporting to the Information Technology Coordinator Lead the incumbent will be a team member of local IS/IT resolution group with regards to Business Applications and IT infrastructure. He/she will restore the appropriate services to the user in a timely fashion in accordance with agreed service level agreements and undertake full first level responsibility for all IS/IT issues at site.
Responsibilities
·         Ensure detailed explanations of user problems and call resolutions are entered into Problem Management System and ensure appropriate escalation including handling of escalated projects as assigned;
·         Install and replace new workstations and maintain, modify and enhance existing workstations using SNOW Standards;
·         Manage other on site IT infrastructure that can not be resolved remotely as instructed;
·         Implement group corporate IT security standards and policies across all systems;
·         Assist in the implementation of new information systems, which may replace or augment the current application set;
·         Manage all tasks related to backup of the servers on site according to GLOBE/IT standards and processes;
·         Lead or participate in team projects that enhance the quality or efficiency of support and assist Service Desk and Resolution Groups members in support of major or complex incidents;
·         Responsible for acquiring, maintaining, and expanding knowledge of relevant product offerings, current GLOBE/IT policies, and methods of support delivery, to provide technically accurate solutions to users;
·         Maintain all IT assets in the IT Asset Management tool as per defined processes and procedures
Requirements
·         University Degree in a Technical / IT field or related field from a recognized university;
·         Minimum 3 years experience in information systems.
·         Working experience in handling systems issues and projects technical in nature;
·         Good analytical & problem solving skills.
·         Good decision making and judgement skills (ability to solve incidents requiring creativity and initiative).
·         Detail-oriented, and able to prioritize work.
