We have exciting career opportunities in two of our business units:

1. Head of Livestock Unit

To consolidate our fast growth, we seek to recruit a highly qualified, self-driven, energized, highly motivated, dynamic and result-oriented Head of Livestock Unit at our large scale, mixed farm in Nakuru County.

Overall Purpose:

Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will ensure the effective and smooth day-today operations of the Unit.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the achievement of departmental targets as to realize profitability.
  • Ensure the highest general hygiene measures in the Unit
  • Ensure effective, and year round planning of animal feed
  • Ensure efficient management of animal health programme
  • Ensure total compliance with legislative and industry standards
  • Institute a rigorous repair and maintenance plan for equipment in the unit
  • Proper supervision and optimization of labour
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety & environmental standards.
  • Prepare timely reports as required
Key Skills, Knowledge & Attributes:
  • A degree in Animal Health/Animal Production or Dairy Science from a recognized institution with at least three years hands-on experience in a busy dairy unit.
  • A Diploma in Animal Health/Animal Production or Dairy Science from a recognized institution with at least five years hands-on experience in a busy dairy unit.
  • Training in artificial insemination
  • Demonstrable knowledge of dairy nutrition, feed formulation & conservation
  • Knowledgeable in disease diagnosis and injury treatment
  • Knowledge of milking procedures
  • Good communication skills, resilience and demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural team
  • Ability to motivate staff
  • A disciplined, innovative and focused team player with an entrepreneurial acumen.
2. Unit Manager

We seek to recruit a highly qualified, enterprising, self-driven, highly motivated, dynamic and result oriented professional with integrity to manage one of our busy and luxurious resorts.

Overall Purpose:

Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will offer effective leadership to ensure the efficient, smooth and profitable day-to-day operation of the Unit.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and coordinate all the resort’s operations as per the laid down operating procedures and policies
  • Develop and implement quality guest service standards and feedback systems
  • Promote good public relations with the resort guests, prospective clients, the community etc in order to maintain a strong positive image of the Company
  • Ensure adequate systems and controls are in place to safeguard the safety and security of guests, staff and company property
  • Ensure achievement of the company’s financial and operating goals and objectives.
  • Foster a conducive corporate culture that promotes strong ethical practices and good governance.
  • Ensure proper utilization, management and maintenance of the resort’s equipment, facilities and other resources
  • Develop and manage the Unit’s budget
  • Effective supervision and motivation of staff.
  • Prepare timely reports as required
Key Skills, Knowledge & Attributes:
  • A degree in hospitality management from a recognized institution with at least three years hands-on experience in a busy resort/lodge/hotel.
  • A Diploma in Hotel Management from a recognized institution with at least five years hands-on experience in a busy resort/lodge/hotel.
  • Training in industry specific courses and knowledge of basic accounting will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in change management
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural team
  • Proficiency in hotel software is critical
  • Strong leadership, organization and coordination skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire staff for high performance
  • A disciplined, innovative and ardent team player with an entrepreneurial acumen.
  • A strong passion to deliver excellent business performance.
