Our client provides support to agro-based businesses and assists in the development of agricultural value chains. The organisation will commence a new five year phase promoting natural resource management.
To implement the programme, the client seeks to recruit dynamic and experienced individuals to fill two positions of Natural Resource Management Officers.

Reporting to the Regional Coordinator, the Natural Resource Management Officers will be responsible for developing and implementing NRM on farm as well as on SME level which includes IPM, water management, renewable energy, waste handling/utilization and certifications.

Key responsibilities will be to:
- Identify, develop and adopt natural resource management technologies;
- Carry out environmental impact assessments in accordance with practical standards, regulations or laws;
- Develop and implement soil erosion and water conservation programmes;
- Identify suitable institutions for collaboration on the appropriate resource management technologies and possible opportunities for SMEs; and
- Assess and quantify benefits of environmental alternative such as use of renewable energy sources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in either agricultural engineering, renewable energy, soil, water and environmental engineering, natural resource management, agricultural resource management or related fields;
- A Master’s degree will be an added advantage;
- At least 3 years of proven experience in relevant fields including but not limited to soil, water and environmental engineering, natural resource management, renewable energy and waste management;
- Experience in networking and resource mobilization;
- Knowledge of SME technologies and agri-business will be added advantages;
- Proficiency in computer based applications; and
- A person of character and integrity with a passion for agricultural development.
