Key Objective of the Job

To independently recruit quality talent for various channels within the Sales and Distribution Department.

Job Summary - List the Key Tasks in the Job
  • Prospecting for new recruits into the various business units (Referrals, advertisements, 'walk-ins" other prospecting methodologies)

  • Screen CV's /applications for minimum requirements
  • Conducting Initial Interview (150 per RS p/m)
  • Measuring biographical information against manspec /profile spec criteria to select applicant out of the process
  • Conducting reference checks for each recruit.
  • Keeping applicants in the loop – e.g. sending regret letters
  • Booking people for psychometrics
  • Sending communication to managers
  • Informing managers of Competency Based Interviews
  • Conducting panel Competency Based Interviews with Manager
  • Assisting manager in job offer
  • Contracting new recruit
  • Completing MI information
  • All other administration tasks surrounding recruitment
  • Ensuring that all administration and contracting documents are done to set standards and requirements
  • Booking new recruit on training
  • Welcoming the new recruit on his first day of training
  • Reaching recruitment targets as set on monthly basis
  • Ensuring the quality and integrity of the recruitment process and adhering to the standards as set
Academic and professional qualification
  • University Degree in Business or Social Related Studies
  • Insurance Certification
  • Computer Skills
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management
Experience and Knowledge
  • 3-4 years experience in a recruitment environment
  • Broader knowledge of recruitment requirements within a Department, BU or Group.
  • Interviewing skills
  • Individual & Group Psychology
  • Insurance Product / system /sales / legislation understanding.
Skills (Personal and Interpersonal)
  • Ability to manage own stress
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good time management skills
