CARE International in Kenya (CIK) is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions in our
Adaptation Learning Programme (ALP):

Information and Knowledge Management Officer
Ref: ALP – 1/10/2010 (Based in Garissa)
Reporting to the Country Project and Advocacy Manager, this position will lead in developing and implementing a
coherent information & knowledge management system at the Country Project Level, compile and analyze data from
the Country Project Team to generate project-level information for donor reports, as well as for policy and program
oriented publications.
She/he will Support the institutionalization of learning approaches within the Project and Contribute to documentation and dissemination of learning from the programme to influence policies and decision making.
The incumbent will also be required to work in close collaboration with the Country Project Team, M&E Advisor, the Learning & Knowledge Management Advisor, as well as Information & Knowledge Management Officers in other ALP countries.
Livelihoods & Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Officer
Ref: 
ALP-2/10/2010 (Based in Garissa)
Reporting to the Country Project and Advocacy Manager, this position will lead in developing and facilitating community based climate change adaptation in rural communities targeted by the Country Project.
The position holder will take the lead in facilitating participatory, gender-sensitive analysis of vulnerability at community level and collaborate with project partners and other Country Project Team members to synthesize, analyze and validate information.
She/he will also participate in partner selection to engage local implementing partner organizations to work at household and individual level.
Local Governance & Advocacy Officer
Ref: ALP- 3/10/2010 (Based in Garissa)
Reporting to the Country Project and Advocacy Manager, this exciting position is responsible for leading in analyzing local policies and programmes to identify opportunities and barriers for community-based adaptation.
The position holder will contribute to formulation and implementation of national-level advocacy strategy in collaboration with the Advocacy and Strategic Partnership Officer and also participate in partner selection to engage local implementing partner organizations to work on local advocacy.
She/he will evaluate capacity of local government partners and of implementing partner organizations working on local advocacy and facilitate monitoring of processes and results by partners working on local advocacy.
