Child Protection Officer, Team Leader
1 position based in Dadaab
3 month contract

Successfully initiate, oversee and support the implementation of child protection strategies and activities, coordinating the work of and providing guidance to the Community Child Protection Workers.

Person Specification

A Degree in social work/social sciences or equivalent with 3 years work experience in social work preferable in INGO, knowledge of community based child protection approaches, including experience in participatory approaches (PRA/PLA) and child protection methodologies. Fluent in English and Swahili.

Child Protection Paediatric Counsellors 
3 positions based in Dadaab
3 month contract)

Responsible for providing direct counselling Services for children identified/referred by BID (Best Interest Determination) and other partners, deliver capacity building training. Implement inter-camp coordination, monitoring and evaluation of activities as well as providing leadership and guidance to the Community Child Protection Workers.

Person Specification

A Degree in counselling, social work/social sciences or equivalent with 2 years work experience in Child Protection in INGO, experience in conducting child therapy especially for HIV/AIDs affected children with ability to use a variety of child counselling methodologies. Knowledge of Child Protection and HIV/AIDs issues in the Kenyan context, knowledge of international and national legislation and policies. Fluent in English and Swahili.

Child Protection Officer 
1 position based in Dadaab
3 month contract

Successfully oversee and support the implementation of Child Protection strategies, coordinate and provide guidance to the Community Child Protection Workers

Person Specification

A Degree in social work/social sciences or equivalent with 1 year work experience in social work preferable in INGO, experience in Facilitating community-based training arid awareness raising knowledge of Child rights and protection issues. Fluent in English and Swahili.

Child Protection Outreach Officer 
1 position based in Dadaab
3 month contract

Responsible for coordinating the work of and providing guidance to Community Child Protection workers, initiate, support and oversee the implementation of child protection strategies and activities especially in mobilization and sensitization work at camp level.

Person Specification

A Degree in social work/social sciences or equivalent with 1 year work experience in social work preferable in INGO, knowledge of community based child protection approaches, including experience in participatory approaches (PRA/PLA) and child participation methodologies. Fluent in English and Swahili.

Best Interest Determination (BID) Officer
1 position based in Dadaab
3 month contract

Successfully initiate, oversee and support the implementation of the BID Program, conduct and identity BID assessments with children in need for durable solutions.

Person Specification

A Degree in social work/social sciences or equivalent with 1 year work experience in social work preferable in INGO, experience in facilitating community-based training and awareness raising. knowledge of Child rights and protection issues. Fluent in English and Swahili.
