Muthaiga Country Club Pastry Chef Job in Kenya

The Role:
·         With the Executive Chef, plan appropriate desserts for all the menus.
·         Create new recipes and conduct testing and evaluation of new pastry and dessert recipes.
·         Order supplies from various vendors and, in some cases, go directly to growers for the freshest possible fruits and berries.
·         Prepare budgets for the pastry department in conjunction with the Executive Chef.
·         Supervise the apprentices and chefs in training within the pastry kitchen.
·         Provide training on pastry and dessert making.
·         Achieve the food margins required.
The Candidate:
·         Aged between 30 to 40 years.

·         Passionate and creative – Natural artistic talent important.
·         Utalii training or equivalent.
·         Minimum five years experience in a 4/5 star establishment.
·         Up to date with culinary art trends.
