KickStart Sales and Marketing Research Analyst Job Vacancy

Job Summary:

KickStart is seeking a talented market research professional to help us analyze data from our Sales Prospect system and any other source of sales and marketing data. The Sales Prospect system is a web-based tool to help us track and follow-up with prospective customers for our MoneyMaker products. 

The main objective of this system is to standardize and streamline the process of converting a prospective customer into an actual customer.

Other sources of sales and marketing data include: our Voice of the Farmer surveys (voice and SMS surveys of prospective/existing customers and dealers), events (such as Farmer Field Days), customer/shop attendant promotions
, SMS marketing campaigns, impact monitoring data, and historical sales data.

The Sales and Marketing Research Analyst will be responsible for interpreting all these sources of data, identifying patterns, and formulating reports on sales and marketing trends to the Marketing, Sales, and Management teams. In addition, he/she will make recommendations for new direct marketing campaigns based upon the research findings and manage tools for sales forecasting.

Job performance will be based upon the Analyst’s ability to apply data analysis to design and develop successful new direct marketing campaigns and sales strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Segment and analyze the Sales Prospects data by various variables (time, geography, barrier-to-buy, etc.) and synthesize trends and patterns from the data
  • Prepare reports for KickStart staff in consultation with the Data Analyst/Report Writer
  1. Reports for sales reps, inside sales, and sales managers to help focus sales efforts, increase conversion rates, and manage demand planning
  2. Reports for senior staff to give periodic updates on key sales metrics, including conversion rates and time to close by region and sales rep
  • Coordinate a weekly meeting with the Country Director, Sales Manager and the Inside Sales team to present and review data patterns for the purpose of designing new direct marketing strategies based on these trends
  • Design and manage SMS-marketing campaigns that target and work to convert customers based on sales prospect system data
  • Work closely with the IT department to suggest ways to improve existing systems and identify new tools for KickStart to analyze sales and marketing data
  1. Example: Identify functional and system requirements (both user interface and back-end reporting) that will improve the Sales Prospects database’s ability to provide accurate, actionable data analysis
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical skills with demonstrated experience interpreting results and applying findings to a business setting
  • Demonstrated ability to sift through large volumes of data to uncover insights
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written, oral, presentation, communication, and influencing skills

Education and/or Experience:
  • A university degree in an analytical field, such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience analyzing data and creating reports in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
  • Experience in Sales & Marketing research highly valued
