Job Description
We are currently recruiting a HR Manager / Office Administrator to manage the human resources function in a manner that ensures there is a working environment and a skilled and motivated workforce that facilitates the achievement of business objectives and that the Firm is in compliance with Kenyan employment legislature. The role reports to the Partners.

Responsibilities

·         Manage daily operations including planning the use of materials and human resources
·         Ensure smooth and efficient running of the Firm
·         Developing and implementing systems/processes that streamline the Firm, these should include: timesheets / billing, record keeping, office procurement
·         Improving profitability and driving efficiency at all levels
·         Active management of stationery including procurement and Staff use
·         Develop and maintain an ideal organization structure that would contribute to achievement of business strategy
·         Update HR policies and procedures manual that integrates Regional best practices
·         Develop and implement appropriate human resources planning and recruitment activities, including liaising with agencies in sourcing
·         Responsible for talent management and mentoring activities including assessment of staff skills within the Firm against specified competencies, identifying skills gaps and putting in place staff development programmes that
address such gaps
·         Organising staff inductions
·         Implement staff retention strategies that reflect global best practices
·         Implement performance management system that will monitor performance regularly and ensure that staff set SMART performance objectives that reflect the Firm’s performance goals and keep staff motivated while achieving the group objectives
·         Put in place optimal compensation and benefits systems, processes and standards that ensure that pay structures are in line with market and to continually review these to remain competitive and affordable
·         Complete administration duties for staff benefits and bonuses
·         Active management of Staff time sheets and allocating staff to various assignments
·         Compiling and producing reports for Partners
·         Foster a culture of openness, responsiveness and team work in the organisation
·         Develop and implement disciplinary procedures and processes including appeal processes

Requirements
·         Degree in Business Studies, Administration or Social Sciences
·         Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management or CPS qualification
·         Over 5 years experience from a busy professional services firm, preferred
·         Exposure to prevailing Labour Laws in Kenya
·         Superior communication and interpersonal skills
·         A very good level of computer literacy
·         Self starter, practical and a proactive approach to problem solving
·         Dedicated and hard-working
