RTI International is seeking registered and qualified non-governmental organizations to develop and disseminate social mobilization communication materials and organize focus group discussions on behalf of RTI International.
The activities are a follow on social mobilization project to a study of early grade literacy and mother tongue instruction conducted October 2009.
These targeted communication activities will seek to reach a wider variety of stakeholders, create an understanding about the state of reading in Kenya (that kids are not learning to read well enough, and why), and provoke action at all levels (community, government, development partners).
This would be accomplished through communication activities focused on dissemination of the results of the study including substantive dissemination of the results.
