Nairobi Club is one of the oldest private members club in Kenya, having been established in 1901. It has a diverse membership of over 2000, offering exceptional sporting, social and conference facilities.

Club Secretary (Chief Executive Officer) with details as follows:-
Job Profile

The Club secretary (CEO) shall;
  • Act as the public officer of the Club, ensuring excellent guests relations and liaising with the members, affiliated bodies, government agencies and the public.

  • Develop financial, operational and business plans which support the overall objectives of the Club.
  • Prepare, execute and follow-up of operational guidelines and budgets to control expenditure.
  • Ensure that product quality and service standards are maintained in all areas.
  • Establish and maintain a pro-active human resource function providing for staff development and motivation, coordination and supervision of department heads.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
  • Ensure that all fixed and movable assets are in proper working condition and routine maintenance of machinery, fixtures, general ground schedules and immediate environs are followed and up to date.
  • Be the Secretary to the Management Committee.
Person Profile

The successful candidate shall have the following minimum attributes:
  • A degree in hospitality management from a recognized university, an MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position with a proven successful track record, experience in management of a private members club will be an added advantage.
  • Maintain confidentiality on relevant matters.
  • Good knowledge in hospitality accounting systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationship with co-workers and contacts with members and other bodies and organizations.
