TNS Research International East Africa works for a variety of blue chip multinational companies as well as local and
international Non-Governmental organizations, covering a vast range of business sectors in East, Central, West and
Southern Africa.
In line with business growth, a need has arisen for highly qualified and experienced individual to take up the position of
Account Manager in the Qualitative area of our business.
The Account Manager will form part of the company’s senior management in participating in the growth plan against pre-agreed world wide, regional and local objectives.

Position scope
Based in Nairobi and reporting to an Account Director, the position holder will be responsible for client management and development and will be the first point of contact for the client on a project. They will also be expected to run projects with minimal senior supervision.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and nurturing client relationships.
  • Managing and promoting delivery to client expectations
  • Developing new business from existing clients
  • Accountable for managing projects and team to drive positive GM and profit
  • Accountable for creation and integrity of proposal and pitch as well as turning complex research approaches into workable and profitable solutions.
  • Proactively working with team and suppliers for process improvement to benefit client
  • Clearly and accurately writing reports, presentations and proposal documents.
  • Mentoring junior staff and team members.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of progressive experience.
In addition he/she must possess:
  • Confident analysis and presentation skills
  • Very strong qualitative analytical skills and thorough understanding of quantitative methodologies
  • Ability to advise the client and solve problems
  • Strong proposal and presentation writing skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication and social skills
  • Demonstrated excellent client relationships development skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business studies with a Masters Degree as an added advantage.
