Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) a parastatal under category PC3A was set up under the Roads Act, 2007 and charged with the mandate to manage, develop, rehabilitate and maintain national roads and is an equal opportunity employer.

General Manager (Finance)
Grade 9
Ref: HR/FIN/001

Reporting to the Director General, the holder will head the Finance function of the Authority.
Duties and responsibilities

  • Carry out Financial planning for the transactions of the Authority
  • Design, monitor and supervise the implementation of internal financial control measures and systems to safeguard the property and assets of the authority.
  • Prepare, design and maintain a proper computerized accounting and financial system.
  • Prepare the core budget and provide technical support/ advice to the line managers during budgeting.
  • Assist divisional heads in the management of their budgets through regular provision of financial information.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and statements of accounts.
  • Responsible for development, supervision and motivation of staff under the department.
  • Act as the chief adviser on all financial matters to authority.
  • Prepare financial regulations.
  • Maintain financial records and preparation statutory accounts.
  • Liaise with external auditors.
  • Exercise expenditure control.
  • Coordinate the activities of the department to ensure collaboration with other departments/ sections
Job Specification
  • A first degree from a recognized institution,
  • A Master's Degree will be an added advantage
  • Certified Public Accountant- CPA (K) or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of Twelve (12) years post qualification managerial experience in accounting and finance, five (5) of which should be in senior position.
  • Good communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage staff and provide good leadership
  • Working ICT knowledge in financial systems.
Head of Information & Communication Technology
Grade 8

Reporting to the Director General, the job holder will be responsible for support, administration and security of interlinked IT and communication Systems.

Key responsibilities include design and implementation of the Authority's IT and telecommunication strategy and network security.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conceptualizing, designing and implementation of office automation
  • Ensuring system back-up and security
  • Providing technical advice on selection and management of software and hardware
  • Providing end- user training and coordinating IT support
  • Liaising with CCK, Telkom Kenya and other governmental and International organizations on matters related to radio communication.
Job Specification
  • Must be a holder of a first degree in Computer Science
  • Over Ten (10) years experience, three (3) of which must be at a similar or senior management position in IT/Telecommunication Management
  • Be a certified engineer by recognized professional engineering IT body
  • Any other duties as may be delegated
