Kenya Global Fund Round 10 Proposal Request for Application for Principal – Recipient for Non State Actors

The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
Country Coordinating Mechanism
The Kenya Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) is developing the Global Fund Round 10 Proposal.
The CCM will appoint two Principal Recipients (PR) – one for HIV and AIDS component and another for Malaria Component during the Round 10 Proposal.
The Principal Recipients will manage the Global Fund grant for each of the components on behalf of the CCM. The CCM is requesting applications from institutions interested to be nominated by the CCM Constituencies as PR. CCM Constituencies include Government Institutions, Faith Based Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, People Living with the Diseases, Development Partners, Professional Bodies, Universities and the Private Sector Organizations.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
  • Experience in co-ordination, management and implementation of grant programmes specifically HIV and AIDS, TB or Malaria.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Global Fund performance based funding processes.
  • Track record in managing grant making processes.

  • Adequate human and physical resources infrastructure.
  • Financial management, procurement and supply management capacity including systems for funds disbursement.
  • Strong governance oversight and controls.
  • Effective systems for programme monitoring and evaluation and reporting.
  • Adequate costing for programme management
  • Proposed methodological approach to implementation of PR tasks

Completed applications should be returned to the CCM Secretariat, Afya House, Cathedral Road, Upper Ground Floor, Room No. UG 07, P.O. Box 30016, 00100, Nairobi by Thursday, 22nd July 2010 at 5.00 p.m. Opening of the Applications will be on Friday 23rd July, 2010 at 10.00 am at the CCM Secretariat’s office and all applicants are invited to attend the opening exercise.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY ORGANIZATION THAT HAS MADE AN APPLICATION OR HAS BEEN CONSIDERED FOR FUNDING IN ANY CURRENT GLOBAL FUND GRANT SHOULD DECLARE SO AND INDICATE WILLINGNESS TO WITHDRAW IN THE EVENT THEY ARE SUCCESSFUL.
