The Institute for Educational Development, Eastern Africa (IED), part of the Aga Khan University, has been offering educational programmes since 2007.


It currently offers a Masters in Education programme with specialisms in Teacher Education and Educational Leadership and Management. Certificate Courses in these areas as part of IED’s outreach programmes are also offered.

As a relatively young institution, IED is seeking to recruit dynamic scholars to contribute to its development and growth and to bring expertise to strengthen IED’s expanding research portfolio, its outreach programmes and portfolio of teaching.

These are senior academic appointments to contribute to a dynamic strategy to ensure that quality education makes a difference in East Africa.

You will have a PhD in a relevant area, a track record of successful and recent teaching, a research publication record, experience of graduate supervision and a commitment to educational development.
